Teras Terrace

Long-Overdue Second Post...

And, um, wow. I don't seem to have been doing a very good job of keeping this blog updated, do I? Given that prior to this there was only one blog post and all. I mean, the only way I could have done a worse job of keeping the blog updated would be to have made no posts whatsoever.

This doesn't mean that work hasn't been proceeding on Teras Terrace, however. It has, albeit not nearly as quickly as I'd like. And I have been making updates elsewhere. Like the Characters page. And the Teras Terrace Tumbr account. I recently got a notification that I was up to 25 posts there—though I didn't post it until a few posts later. I really ought to change the theme from the default it started with, too.

Oh, and good grief, I just now found out (literally just now, as I was writing the previous sentence) that there's a setting to make Tumblr automatically post to Facebook and Twitter. I've been manually tweeting each Tumblr post, and haven't updated the Teras Terrace Facebook page at all. Let me go ahead and update that setting... (At some point, I really ought to get around to implementing the RSS feed I said in the first blog post I wanted to implement, too.)

Anyway, though, maybe the biggest immediate bit of news is that the storyboards to Teras Terrace are finally complete! This means the animated short is still a long ways from being done, of course, but it's a big step in the right direction.

Next, before really getting into the animation yet, I want to make 3D computer models of a few key locations and objects... the Mongleys' house, Mrs. Furk's classroom, Frissman's van, and the gate to Teras Terrace, mainly. The short will be done in 2D animation, not CGI, but having 3D models of these items will allow me to animate them more easily and consistently.

Anyway, I'll try to be better about keeping up with the blog posts in the future. Keep checking in!
